A Reason to Celebrate!


We did as we were told, we were instructed to get dressed and stay in our room until we heard the bell. When the bell rang, we were greeted outside our bedroom door by Vinnie saying “Can I be your Best Man?” and the others singing Happy Anniversary.  
What a moment it was, as was the entire day. Food was brought in, a gorgeous cake, cookies, along with champagne and speeches.  

Thank you, Jeff for writing and leading us in renewing our wedding vows. Thank you for bringing Rose into our lives, giving me a daughter to love and become such good friends with.  

Rose thank you for all the decorations, the flowers and balloons, the cookies and all the food you and Jeff brought in, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being who you are, loving, creative and such a good friend. 

Thank you Vinnie, for being our best man, 

Ollie thank you for the toast you wrote and read so beautifully at dinner. 

Joe thank you so much for the awesome poem you wrote about love. 

Craig, for your words of affection, so warm and touching, thank you.  Thank you also for video taping this beautiful celebration. 

Denny, thank you for coming into my life all those years ago, and walking along side me on a path of commitment, love and support. We are more than lucky, we have grown together, shared the same interests and are blessed for sure to have 2 sons and 3 grandsons.  
I am thankful for our continued good health. 

Today was special, it was nice to embrace and celebrate all that we’ve enjoyed throughout the past 50 years. 

AH! The joy loving and being loved brings. 

There could not be anything better.

Sydney Australia!

Well I’m happy to report we survived the 15- hour flight to Australia.  We took the short flight from Las Vegas to L.A. and then it was non-stop to Sydney.  We’re traveling with our friends George and Sharon and staying in the Circular Quay area of this beautiful city. It’s just a short walk to the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.  The Sydney Harbour Bridge, is known by locals as the Coathanger and is considered the world’s greatest arch bridge and one of Australia’s best-known and photographed landmarks. You can drive over it, ride a bicycle, and even walk across.  We walked through the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens, I think I’ll let the pictures tell the story there, and we took the tour of the Opera House. The Ireland I Know

I am so happy to be talking to you about Ireland. New Zealand! WOW

New Zealand is awesome! Green and lush and populated with lots of friendly people.   We started our nine-day New Zealand trip in Queenstown. While there, we took the Skyline cable car to the top of a mountain and had a wonderful view of the city. The next day we went to Milford Sound, which we highly recommend. At first, we were rather turned off by the fact that it would be a 4 1/2 hour coach ride to get there, but the journey turned out to be almost as magnificent as the destination itself. The driver stopped three or four times for a coffee break and picture taking. The countryside along the way was spectacular. When we arrived at Milford Sound, we boarded a cruise ship for a 2- hour tour through snow-capped mountains and waterfalls. The Hilton Hotel we stayed at was on the beautiful Wakatipu lake and had a very nice bar at the top of the hotel.
